Do I Have Your Approval?

As Jesus came into Jerusalem the crowds yelled, "Hosanna!" "Hosanna!"{... I have been reminded of this lately because Thomas has been singing a song he learned at CBS that goes, "Hosanna! Hosanna!"}. They cried out in praise, admiration, and excitement.  But just a few days later those same people yelled out "Crucify Him!" "Crucify Him!"; ordering his death.  Isn't that a perfect example as how fickle we can be? 

People change don't we?  One day we can be hot, one day cold. We are shakeable, changing people.  We can place our hope and faith in our friends, our jobs, our family... but by looking for stability, approval and praise in those around us..... we will constantly be left disappointed.  Because today favored, tomorrow gossiped about.  I'm certain that if you are reading this you have experienced how fickle we can be.

But there is someone who is EVERLASTING, UNCHANGING, UNSHAKEABLE, UNMOVEABLE.

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."  ISAIAH 40:28-31

Anybody feeling weary?
Rely on God and place your hope in Him and Him alone.
