He's Always Watching

We really have to be careful
 around here because
we have a little boy
who doesn't miss a beat.

On The First Day of School

We had art,
math (counted straws)
personal finance (put our change into daddy's office jar),
We learned about a new fruit,
the blackberry.
We enjoyed recess,
practiced good manners
and squeezed in a science lesson
with a bonus lesson on gun safety.
Happy 10'/11' School Year Friends!

Foolish Faith

Noah looked foolish building an ark.
Sarah looked foolish buying maternity clothes at ninety.
David looked foolish attacking Goliath with a sling shot.
The wisemen looked foolish following the "yonder" star.
Peter looked foolish trying to walk on water.
And Jesus looked foolish hanging half-naked on the cross.
The fear of looking foolish keeps us hog-tied and locked in the basement.
We'd rather look like, talk like, dress like, and become like everybody else. Something invaluable and irreplaceable is lost when we cave in to conformity.
We lose personality, we lose originality, and at some point; we lose our soul.......settling for something less than God intended.
Fact: If you arent willing to look foolish, you're foolish. FAITH is the willingness to look foolish......
Noah was saved from the flood.
Sarah gave birth to Isaac.
David defeated Goliah.
The wisemen found the Messiah.
Peter walked on water.
 And Jesus rose from dead.
All because the fear of foolishness was absent and the FAITH to be foolish was present. 1 Corinthians 1:27

"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him."

Thirty Five Years

35 years ago today looked like this...
Last Sunday 35 years looked like this....
The whole family gathered to celebrate Paps and Juju's 35th wedding anniversary.
Their wedding picture was displayed throughout the house and it was a hit as everyone came in the door.
Sabrina ordered THE CUTEST and MOST DELICIOUS cake.
It had all their children and grandchildren's names along the bottom teir. The top teir had a lake scene with a catfish because Paps and Juju love their time at their lake cabin; it had a John Deere tractor with a for sale sign; a mail bag; and Maggie their 4th baby.
It was so precious!
We all enjoyed family time.  Here are some pictures from the day.
This picture below is so funny because Thomas walked up, Paps asked him, "Do you want me to put Ryan down so you can sit up here?", and Thomas shook his head, "Yes".
If Thomas went home with Uncle Randy and Aunt Debra they would spoil him rotten. They both would have played with him for hours I think.
Right now Paps and Juju are off taking a much needed vacation celebrating their milestone. We hope they are having the best time.
Happy Anniversary!
I wonder what the next 35 will look like?
