Our Easter Sunday

It didn't take very long for Thomas to find his Easter basket this year.
We joined our church family for early service.
Every year our church puts out a cross during Holy Week. On Good Friday its draped with a black sash until Easter morning.  On Easter morning we all bring clippings from our flowering plants, trees and shrubs. It symbolizes eternal life through Jesus.
Thomas's Easter outfit was handmade by my extremely talented Aunt Carolyn. She spent hours working on it especially for him. I think it's absolutely beautiful. It means a tremendous amount to us that she would spend her time and energy doing something so difficult just for Thomas. Thomas had a formal portrait made wearing it a few days before Easter and when we took it off after church it got immediately sealed up.  If the Lord blesses us with other boys, they will be able to wear it as well. I love you Aunt Carolyn and I am truely thankful for your priceless gift!
We joined Papaw, Mamaw, Aunt Jenn and Kaitlyn for their 11:00 service. Then we went to Mamaw and Papaw's for lunch. You enjoyed macaroni and cheese, green beans, and sweet potatoe casserole. It was delicious!

That night I rocked you to sleep and thought about the sacrifice God made for us.
I thought about how God gave his son. I couldn't do it, I wouldn't do it.

"Jesus paid it all, All to him I owe. Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow".
