1 Year Portraits

While Thomas was at Mother's Day Out today I scooted to Jackson. I had an appointment. Today (sniff, sniff) I ordered Thomas's 1 year portait.  The photographer I used has you come to their office where you view your edited proofs on a big comfy sofa from a gigantic movie theater type screen.  I had never done this before. I am used to going to a website, typing in a password and choosing pictures.  I knew before going the type of picture I wanted. I knew I wanted it to be with Thomas wearing a certain outfit, not holding anything, looking at the camera with a blank expression; big eyes, pouty lips.  Then I saw the proofs, one stood out immediatly and I knew it was what we had to have. It was not at all like what I envisioned ordering, but it suits Thomas "to a tee" as my would mother say.
If we are blessed with other children maybe one of their portraits will be that stoic look that I love, but Thomas really isn't Thomas without a smile.
He is absolutely the life of our party, Can't you tell?!
(Sorry it's blurry, that's for the photographer's security, I suppose)

Can't wait to have this beauty framed and hung. You'll have to come see it in about 7 weeks.

I need to brag on my sweet husband for a minute. In addition to surprising me with a fantastic pair of sandals last week (I had loved them from a distance, but just could not justify buying them), but he treated me to a much needed pedicure today. With all the yard work we've been doing, my feet were in terrible shape.  I am so thankful for his generosity.
