Before It's A Blur...

...I need to tell y'all what's been going on.

When we last left off Brian was going out of town for a golf weekend. So what do you do when your husband's out of town and you and baby boy have no plans? Go shopping of course. Thomas and I spent the entire day in Jackson. When we got home it was a beautiful night. We enjoyed a picnic dinner of grilled cheeses and fruit salad.
I chased Thomas around with the camera and he looked at me like this.
He is all about putting the tops on things these days. Whether its tupperware, a water bottle, or the camera lense.

The next morning I thought Thomas woke up on the wrong side of the bed; fussy, really fussy.  Around 2 p.m. he felt warm, I took his temperature and it was 102.8- insert panic. Brian rushed home eary and I began calling everyone I knew who could advise me on what to do.
I ended up on the phone with our pediatrician in a tone of voice I'm certain she hears often... you know, that "This is so huge the Earth must stop rotating until we can get my child well." tone.
She advised me to increase the dosage of an OTC medicine and meet her Monday morning.  Well, on Sunday Thomas was better so ....  like most semi irresponsible parents we packed Thomas up and went to the lake.
He got SO excited when his Pappaw got onto the boat.
On the boat ride, Thomas couldn't get comfortable. He doesn't like wearing his lifejacket and we just thought he was a little tired.
Most of our ride was spent like this...
When we got back to the cabin his fever was up again to 102. Monday morning we found out Thomas had strep throat. It swept through almost every child in the First Baptist Mother's Day Out program.
He was on Amoxicillon for 10 days and is back to full speed ahead.

Sorry I've taken such a blogging break. We've been incredibly busy enjoying our Summer. I'll be back really soon to tell you about our Memorial Day and all the fun we've been having.
