Welcome to the world sweet boy!

When your Dad and I were first married we lived here. It was a great little house on Benjamin Drive and your dad and Poppaw worked really hard on it. They contracted it themselves and did a fantastic job. In May of 08' we sold this house and moved into a rental house. Your dad and I wanted to build another house. We shopped for land and started editing house plans. We had decided on a peice of land and our offer had been accepted. We were really excited, I was looking around at home ideas and your dad was thinking about where to put the putting green (seriously, he really was... you will very soon come to know how fanatical your dad is about golf). When we ran into a few complications with the land, and then more complications with the house plans, we wondered if we were doing the right thing.

On Thursday, June 19, 2008 we found out about you.

You were the most fantastic surprise your dad and I have ever had!

You were coming in Febuary. The timeline didn't allow for us to build a house and be settled in before you were here, so we started looking for houses. In October we closed on the house you came home to.

On October 12th, we gathered your friends and family and told them you were going to be a boy!

Your dad and mommaw worked on the house....

While you and I were really busy growing! Your dad put together nursery furniture... And you and I were growing....
We celebrated New Year's Eve And you were growing....

We finished your nursery.

On Febuary 18th we went to the hospital. We were being induced because I had developed high blood pressure. This is us right before we walked out the door for the hospital.

Your Mommy Bette and Pop were already at the hospital waiting on us. They were so excited about you!

We settled into our room, without knowing exactly when you were coming. I felt really good. This was our third time coming to the hospital because of my elevated blood pressure. Mommy Bette and I did some last minute shopping.

Around 5:30 p.m. the next day, we started pushing. You were born at 5:39.

You weighed 7 lbs. and were 18" long.

You were the most beautiful baby your dad and I had ever seen.

And I had NEVER seen your dad so happy...

You were born so quickly that your Mommaw and Poppaw had not had time to get there. They were on the way to the hospital when your dad called to tell them you were here. He said, "Can you hear him?" with the biggest smile on his face.

Febuary 19th, 2009 was the best day of our lives!
