Thank You For Our New Shoes!

Paps and Juju thought our sandals were a little snug.
So we paid a visit to Paps lunch partner, Mr. Billy Acred.
Mr. Billy's store is where Pap's got his shoes when he was little and where Pap's and Juju took Brian to buy his shoes when he was little.  Mr. Billy has a horse in his store. Thomas is a little stand offish to the horse. It took some coaxing from a friendly new friend for Thomas to warm up to it.
Thomas ended up liking his new friend more than the horse.
He was fitted by Mrs. Vicky.
And walked out with new kicks. They are super cute.
Thank you Paps for our new shoes!

What Happened To Our Baby?

Here is Thomas at just about 17 months. This sums him up pretty good. He rebels against clothing, has slobber around his mouth just about 100% of the time, usually a hair or two of mine floating around him and these days some strawberry bits from our around the clock snack time.
Oh goodness, I wish time would stand still.

Brothers

When the heat index gets around 100, we let in our first son.
Bless his heart, Sonny has no idea what happened to his life. For the first 4 years of his life he was an inside dog.
Now he gets bossed around by a baby!
We lost a toy that day.

Visitors

Yesterday we had a house full of fun guests.
First was Nancy. She was my boss, then changed jobs and was my colleague. Anyway, I just love her.  She loves to teach Thomas funny things. This is her teaching him to say, "ROCK AND ROLL!" Then fall over side ways.  She's a hoot.
Autry and Anna came and spent most of the day with us too.  Thomas got to sit at the bar with them for lunch.  They loved that he clasps his little hands and says, "Thank you Jesus for our food, Amen". I can't ever get a picture of that because I'm always bowing my head; trust me it's cute.
Thomas enjoyed milk, strawberries, and cheese. Odd combo, huh?
Daddy Red, Nancy's dad, stopped by that afternoon.  Daddy Red is a master at refinishing antique furniture. He is working on a piece that was my grandmothers.  Nancy also stopped back by because she forgot her cell phone. She and I are SOOO much alike.

He loves Thomas.
She does too. This was another time for them to cut up.

I love days when great things happen so spur of the moment. I wasn't expecting any of these visits; but I sure am thankful for them.

Oh, and you may remember reading about Daddy Red's wife here.

What's Cool at Our House

TRAINS.
You have to line 'em up. They have magnets that make them stick to one another.
It's important when playing with your trains that you say "choo chooooooo" repeatedly.
Drinking water from a glass.
Good boy, put it down right there.
No No Thomas, we shouldn't put our hand down in our water.
And going to get books from Thomas's room.
His current favorite is one about the four seasons; not the music group, not the hotel chain, but the real four seasons.
